Today, I have for you a handful of swatches from my most recent Aromaleigh order. I placed the order specifically for the Gorgon lip gloss, but ended up grabbing a few shadow samples while I was there, too.
In the tube, Gorgon looks like a dark, cool-toned purple with very strong aqua green shimmer. It looks a bit intimidating. But fear not! It applies much lighter.
As you can see, the greenish shimmer is still there, but is much more muted.
Texture-wise, this is a non-sticky gloss, and I didn’t have any problems with it being streaky or patchy. It’s a beautiful berry purple shade for fall.
As for the rest of the shadow samples, here we go. All swatches are done over Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer.
Ihuaivulu is a warm brown/tan shade with really lovely pink/mauve shimmer. It’s a neutral with a twist.
Belthir is a deep eggplant shade with blue and pink microsparkles. It blends out a little more brown.
Amarante is an absolutely show-stopping metallic olive with blue microsparkles.
Changeling is one of the most gorgeous shadows I’ve seen come out of Aromaleigh. It’s a shade that’s hard to describe. I’d call it a reddish coral with rusty tones. It’s also JAM PACKED with golden and green shimmer. It reminded me a lot of some of the shades in the Dryades collection, but amped up. It is GORGEOUS and I want this in lip product form!
Medousa is a beautiful matte rose with hints of mauve. It blends out very smoothly. I love it a lot, particularly with my hair color.
Everlasting Credit is a metallic taupey champagne with subtle microsparklies.
Pyroclastic Flow is a light metallic petal pink.
Thoth is a metallic yellow gold.
I didn’t have any formula issues with any of these shades, and I’ve worn Changeling multiple times now. It looks great blended out across the lid and up into the crease, and then reapplied over the center of the lid over a bit of glitter glue / Pixie Epoxy to make the glitter really stand out.
Turnaround for Aromaleigh is very quick, as well. Very happy with this order!
