Today I have for you swatches of Aromaleigh’s Sol Invictus Holiday collection, a twelve-shade release of super sparkly shades! All of these swatches were done over Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance.

Oscilla: An exquisite shimmering peach with oodles of icy blue, pink, copper and gold color traveling sparkles.

I’d call this a champagne with pretty multicolored shimmer.

Aureum: A richly shimmering soft warm gold with color traveling sparkles of gold/green and red/violet.

An orange-leaning gold with warm shimmer.

Munera: A rich taupe-y shade with brilliant aqua/gold/copper sparkles.

A cool taupe brown with multicolored shimmer.

Sigillaria: A gorgeously rich amber which is slightly metallic and having a spectacular amount of strong aqua and fuchsia sparklies.

A warm, golden brown with multicolored shimmer.

Opalia: A delicate opalescent pink with bountiful pink to blue color shift.

A delicate seashell pink with warm coppery pink and blue shimmer-glitters.

Sol Invictus: A beautiful coral/orange shade with a slight golden undertone in certain lighting, bedazzled by color traveling orange-violet-fuchsia shimmer and bright green sparks.

Coral-y gold with multicolored shimmer.

Unchained Revelry: A gorgeous berry shade that shifts to a softly metallic copper, with brilliant iridescent fuchsia and blue sparkles and copper iridescence.

A pink-berry with coppery tones and iridescent shimmer.

Luxuriae Maniae: An imperial purplish mauve with chestnut tones and a strong and sparkling color traveling duochrome effect that ranges from gold, bronze and copper.

A purple mauve with some of the most impressive shimmer I’ve seen.

Lord of Misrule: A gorgeous taupe base with really strong orange-red-violet color traveling iridescence. It’s a neutral with an amazing, shimmery twist!

A sort of rusty bronze shade with strong iridescent shimmer.

Lua Saturni: A heathered deep indigo/violet (will change from more blue to more violet depending on your viewing conditions) with dominant blue to teal sparkles that color shift to fuchsia/red.

A blue-toned violet with iridescent shimmer.

Io, Saturnalia: A smooth rich teal blue with prominent gold/copper/red color traveling sparkles.

A blue-toned teal with iridescent shimmer.

Topsy Turvy: A gorgeous multi-dimensional festive green with amber metallic lowlights and color-shifting highlight sparkles.

A light green– somewhere between celedon and clover, that blends out to a slightly brown tone at the edges. And color-shifting sparkles.

Overall, these were absolutely beautiful. I was hoping for a true red or a deeper green, given the season– this actually felt more like a spring collection to me than winter. Here is a a look I did with it and some thoughts:

This look used Aureum, Unchained Revelry, Luxuriae Maniae, and Oscilla. When applied, I found the colors to sheer out. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, particularly for those of you who are more conservative with your cosmetics. But I wanted a more pigmented base color– instead, I got super pretty, super shimmery sheer color. The plus to that is that they blend very well. The minus is that it’s hard to build up a bold look. I want to try these over some bright mattes and see how I like them, because then I might feel moved to reach for them more often.
