…okay, so maybe calling it a “collection” is a bit much. I only have five shades, after all. But at $19 a pop, they’re not exactly cheap, so I’ve been building slowly. That said, I absolutely love each one. I really do think that Urban Decay makes the best pencil liners on the market. Here’s why:
— The non-glittery shades of the 24/7 liner are bar-none the best I’ve ever tried for tightlining. They don’t irritate my eyes or disappear. They last, on average, 5 hours on the waterline.
— They last upwards of 8 hours on the lid.
— You can smudge them initially if you want (this is my preferred method for wearing Deep End), but once they set, they’re there for the long haul.
— The glitter liners may need to be layered patiently if you want a very opaque line, but man– they do not migrate and rain glitter all over your face. I can’t say that about any other brand I’ve tried.
— They go on like a dream. They don’t tug or pull. They just feel really nice when worn.
And now, onto the pictures!
Distortion is an iridescent glitter liner in the Heavy Metal Glitter Liner line. More on that in a minute.
Asphyxia is a magenta-purple with a blue shift. It’s not the most opaque shade, but it does look really lovely on me when I do purple eye looks.
Deep End is a teal blue that leans more blue than green. It’s a bright that doesn’t look retro. I love it smudged on my lid.
Scorch is a near metallic bronze with teeeeensy microsparkles. Looks amazing on my lower lash line, as a way to finish my look without looking overdone during the day. I use this one multiple times a week, because it compliments my standard daytime look.
Smoke is a matte grey. Usually greys wash me out, but not this one. This makes a lovely liner when I wear cool toned looks. I love it and will probably re-order it when I’m done.
So there you have it. I hope to add Perversion (black), Mildew (dark green), Freak (bright green), and Whiskey (rich brown) soon.
Do you have any UD liners? What do you think?
